Nail onychomycosis

A 35-year-old patient visited the clinic for the first time due to changes in several toenails consistent with a fungal infection. The patient reported a progression of approximately 10 years, having undergone various previous treatments without a complete resolution of the condition.

During the first visit, the patient requested the removal of all affected nails as a permanent solution. Following a clinical assessment, the possibility of conservative treatment was explained, and a combined protocol of in-clinic laser therapy along with home treatment tailored to the case was ultimately chosen.

The patient resides outside the Community of Madrid, so they attended weekly sessions at the clinic during the first month. Throughout the process, the patient remained very consistent and committed to the prescribed treatment.

At the six-month follow-up, a very favorable progression was observed, with a clear improvement in nail appearance and the disappearance of signs consistent with fungal infection, confirming the resolution of the process.

At the final check-up, the patient remains asymptomatic and satisfied with the result, showing no signs of recurrence.
